What a prototype printed with us is
A prototype checks a shape, an assembly or a function before a final production run. Fused-filament 3D printing (FDM) makes it straight from the model, with no tooling: the part that comes out is the one you drew, with its holes, ribs and pockets.
- Up to 256 mm per axis in one piece; beyond that, the model is split and assembled.
- Walls of at least 0.8 mm for a clean, solid part.
- PLA for shape and fit, PETG or ASA for a part under load, TPU for a flexible part: the Materials page compares each polymer.
- Layers stay visible: a validation prototype needs no finishing, a presentation part can be sanded.
From file to part, in four steps
- Drop the file on the online quote. It is analysed on our servers: volume, machine time, material.
- Choose the material, colour, finish and quantity. The price updates with every change.
- Pay online. Printing starts in our Agadir workshop.
- Receive the part in 2 to 3 days, delivery included in the price shown.
No file yet? Describe the part and attach photos and measurements on the Custom project page: we model it and come back with a price before anything is made.
What a prototype costs
An electronics case of 114 × 66 × 33 mm, 55 g of PLA and 1 h 48 of printing, costs 178.42 MAD delivered today, ordered on its own. That price is computed by our quote engine when this page loads, at the rates in force.
- Every order costs at least 105.00 MAD delivered; below that, the minimum applies.
- The price is made of machine time, material deposited and a per-order service fee. Several parts in one order share that fee.
- A rush order, dispatched the same day, costs 50% more.
The full calculation and more priced parts are in the guide How much does 3D printing cost in Morocco.
Iterate without starting over
A prototype is rarely the last one. Fix the model, drop the file again: the new price shows at once. Previous orders stay in your account with their file, to compare versions or reorder the same part.
Once the shape is validated, the same order scales to a run: see small batch production for quantities from 10 to a few hundred parts.
What we do not do
- No resin: a miniature or a detail under half a millimetre does not come out properly in FDM.
- No metal and no injection moulding; for an injected pre-series, the FDM prototype validates the design before the mould is cut.
- A file that fails the check (not watertight, too large, too thin) is flagged on the quote; the guide Preparing a file explains how to fix it.
Accepted files: STL, OBJ, 3MF, up to 50 MB. A STEP or native file exports to STL from any CAD package.
