What we print
- Enclosures for development boards and custom boards, with their cut-outs.
- Flat or fitted lids, access hatches, front panels.
- Standoffs, board carriers, retaining clips and cable guides.
- Housings for sensors, gateways and remotes, as one part or a pre-series.
- Raised panels and labels, for a product name or a port marking.
The design rules that avoid a second print
- Walls of at least 0.8 mm; 2 mm for an enclosure that gets handled.
- Clearance around the board and the connectors: a cut-out at the exact dimension rubs, a few tenths of a millimetre of margin fix it.
- Standoffs built into the base rather than through screws: fewer parts, and the mounting hole takes a screw straight into the plastic.
- Large flat faces flat on the build plate: a lid prints flat, a case opening upwards, with no support.
- Up to 256 mm per axis in one piece.
The guide Preparing a file for 3D printing explains the export, the walls and the checks the quote runs on the file.
What an enclosure costs, in figures
The four parts below are two real electronics cases and their lids, priced by our quote engine when this page loads, in PLA, standard finish, each ordered alone and delivered.
| Part | Material | Printing | Delivered price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Case, 114 × 66 × 33 mm | 55 g | 1 h 48 | 178.42 MAD |
| Lid, 114 × 67 × 3 mm | 16 g | 35 min | 106.94 MAD |
| Case, 114 × 86 × 13 mm | 37 g | 1 h 05 | 136.40 MAD |
| Lid, 114 × 86 × 3 mm | 18 g | 41 min | 112.26 MAD |
All four in one order cost 280.13 MAD instead of 534.02 MAD separately: the service fee and delivery are paid once. For 10 copies of the first case, each comes to 96.74 MAD.
Which material for an enclosure
- PLA: an indoor enclosure, a prototype, a desk. The cheapest and the crispest.
- PETG: an enclosure that gets a little warm, a workshop, a vehicle, humidity.
- ASA: an outdoor enclosure, in the sun.
- TPU: a soft cover, shock protection, a cable grommet.
Prices per gram are on the Materials page. An enclosure is not watertight by nature: the layers let humidity through; a TPU gasket or a sealing resin makes it splash-proof.
From one part to a pre-series
The same file serves for one enclosure or a hundred. The price per part falls with quantity, and each enclosure can carry a different number or version. See small batch production; for a company invoice and a contact person, the Pro page.
Accepted files: STL, OBJ, 3MF. An enclosure drawn in CAD exports to STL with the lid as a separate part.
